What is your style of wedding cinematography?
Our style of filmmaking is about capturing the essence of the wedding through storytelling. We do this by focusing on the emotions, moments and your thoughts as you’re experiencing them. We are always aware of what’s important to you and we aim to capture everything that is essential to your story.
What is the difference between videography and cinematography?
Wedding videography usually consists of one videographer who shoots to document everything that is happening. This is a more traditional variant where you can expect longer videos that gear to capture the event as it happened with focus on capturing everything that is important in a linear fashion. In cinematography, the style is more aimed towards delivering a movie like feel with multiple cameras, angles and high-end gear that focuses on emotions and candid moments.
What are the deliverables I can expect with Wedding Cinematography?
If you’re opting for wedding cinematography, you can definitely go for a wedding teaser (3-5 minutes), a wedding film comprising of highlights of all events (15-30 minutes) and even individual cinematic films for each event (10-15 minutes). What is the team size I can expect for a small function or a big wedding?
For small functions upto 50 people, we recommend at least one cinematographer (+1 assistant), though for true cinematic quality we recommend for you to consider two cinematographers. In case of intimate weddings, one should be able to cover the story well. For larger events like engagement, cocktail and sangeet, we recommend you hire at least a team of two cinematographers to ensure the coverage is complete. For large scale weddings, we recommend three cinematographers if you’re hiring for capturing the story on both the bride and groom’s side. We can help design the size of the team depending on the scale of the event as well as your specific requirements.
I really love the idea of a drone – can you use one for wedding cinematography?
We love drones too! The bird’s eye view is such a beautiful addition to the film. We recommend drones if your event is in an open area and if the property hosting it does not have any issues with us flying them. Also depending on the city, some local restrictions and permissions may apply – so if you can sort them at your end we’d be delighted to bring one of those bad guys along!
Although I am keen on cinematography, my parents would love to have longer traditional videos. Can we have both?
Yes, absolutely! Besides wedding cinematography, we also offer traditional videography and would be happy to add that to our services to you. The traditional video is shot with a different purpose in mind, so the team would have additional videographers to take the long form videos for you.
